Rise of the Midrise

Mid-rise, mixed-use developments are popping up all over the U.S. particularly in Dallas, Boston, and even Los Angeles.

Chicago too, a city known for its stunning architecture, is seeing an increase in the demand for mid-rise developments.

In classic mid-west style, many Chicago residents cite “getting to know their neighbours as a key incentive for choosing the mid-rise lifestyle.

The design concept has already existed for a significant amount of time throughout cities in warmer climates. From a structural integrity standpoint, mid-rise buildings are more resistant to unpredictable weather and tend to be more sturdy. From a stylistic view, they are more compact, accessible, and can accommodate a higher number of large units.
